This Mother’s Day is going to look a little different but the Hunter Melanoma Foundation (HMF) is working to make sure that it’s not any less special for mums in our region.
HMF has created a gift that it hopes will give in many more ways than the obvious.
Foundation Executive Officer, Claudia Tolhurst said that HMF has created the 2020 HMF gift baskets with the support of local organisations.
“Hunter Melanoma Foundation understands the challenges everyone is currently facing and that giving to charities is probably well down the list of priorities. That said, the Foundation's work continues to provide support to people are living with melanoma as well as our commitment to educating people around checking and protecting against the deadly disease,” Claudia said.
“Our role as a not-for-profit during these unprecedented times is to bolster community spirit and pride, and support local businesses where we can,” Claudia said.
“We have combined HMF’s merchandise with some local wines to support them through this time, help us raise a few dollars and importantly providing a convenient gift for local mums.
“We want to help put a smile on each mother who receives a gift pack and recognise the wonderful community we have in the Hunter, any money raised is just a bonus,” she said.
Claudia is the only employee of HMF and will personally deliver each order for free on the Friday before Mother’s Day.
The HMF Mothers’ Day Gift Packs include a range of goodies including a bottle of either Moscato, Reserve Chardonnay or Merlot from Gemelli Estate, polycarbonate wine glasses or range of HMF merchandise.
