Imagine an evening where every note played, every lyric sung, and every beat resonating through the air not only entertains but also fuels hope. "Melodies for Melanoma" is an event that does exactly that - it transforms the universal language of music into a powerful catalyst for melanoma awareness, education, research, and community support.
Local celebrities and community figures from across the Hunter region come together to showcase their hidden vocal talents.....or NOT. For one night, they swap their everyday roles for the spotlight, belting out crowd favourite tunes to raise vital funds for melanoma patients, their families and for the benefit of the wider community.
This event is bound to be a whole lot of fun as we get to know some of our local celebrities on a more personal level as they step outside of their comfort zone and sing their hearts out.
In 2025, you can be part of the fun by purchasing a ticket to the inaugural event which features 4 very well know celebrities.

Meet our celebrities
Christie Dawes: is a 7-time Paralympian, and ready to take on a brand-new challenge—singing for Melodies for Melanoma!
Christie is no stranger to high-pressure situations, but this time, the stage replaces the race track, and we can’t wait to see her in action! She’ll be stepping out of her comfort zone, all in support of Melanoma.
Jane Goldsmith: We’re so excited to welcome Jane Goldsmith from NBN News to the Melodies for Melanoma stage!
Jane is used to delivering the news with confidence, but will she keep her composure when the microphone is for singing instead of reporting? We’re about to find out!
Matt & Brett: They’ve traveled the world, reviewed the best (and worst) experiences, but how will they be rated on stage?
Deputy Lord Mayor, Callum Pull: Callum is used to speaking in front of crowds, but singing? That’s a whole new challenge! He’s putting his vocal cords to the test for a great cause, helping raise funds and awareness for Hunter Melanoma Foundation (HMF).
