Melodies for Melanoma 2026 wrap

A Sold-Out Night That Raised $25,000 for a Hunter Free of Melanoma.

For one night only, local celebrities swapped their everyday roles for the spotlight. Some revealed genuinely impressive vocal talents. Others gave it everything they had, and that was exactly the point. Watching familiar faces step outside their comfort zones and belt out crowd favourites made for a night that was equal parts heartwarming, hilarious, and inspiring.

This year’s line-up featured Kate Stobbs, Dan Repacholi MP, Joel Gosper, and the duo of Lauren Kempe & Jake Stuart, who each brought the energy and gave the crowd plenty to cheer about.

Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket, donated, and sang along, the night raised an incredible $25,000, funds that go directly towards supporting melanoma patients and their families, and the Hunter Melanoma Foundation’s work in education, prevention, and early detection.

Melodies for Melanoma will be back in 2027

Join us in the fight against melanoma

With your help, over the past 35+ years, we’ve been working to defeat melanoma—and we know the work we’re doing is making a real difference. But there’s still much more to do.

In the Hunter New England Local Health District, melanoma is now the second most diagnosed cancer (Cancer Institute NSW, February 2024), underscoring the urgent need for continued awareness, early detection, and prevention.

Nationally, melanoma remains the most common cancer among Australians aged 20 to 39. Your donation and ongoing support allow us to continue this life-saving work—funding education programs, supporting patients, and advancing research to reduce the impact of melanoma in our community.
